Fashion in Florence is back in these days thanks to the event organized by Dolce and Gabbana. 3 days that will mark a great rebirth for Florence that was forced to give up all the fashion events this year due to Coronavirus.
Fashion in Italy: from September 2nd to September 4th fashion shows and exhibition around Florence
The event is in Florence on these days. On September 2nd was held an exhibition of the High Jewelry Collection in the cloister of Santa Maria Novella. Later Dolce and Gabbana organized the high fashion show tailoring in palazzo Vecchio, in the Salone dei Cinquecento. To open this show the beautiful Monica Bellucci, sponsor of the evening who received also the keys of the city.
On the walkway unique dresses of extreme value with accessories and jewelry made by the most great artisan shops in Florence. Completely extraordinary clothing ready to leave a mark in this magnificent location.
The event continues on September 3rd with a further high fashion show in the garden of Villa Bardini and end today with an invitation for all the guests at the Cantine Antinori.
A set of Renaissance, art, culture, fashion, style and crafts merged together into one unique event that has as stage the most beautiful places of Florence.
The choice of 38 artisans
For the realization of this event Dolce and Gabbana involved 38 Florentine artisans: creator of painting and goldsmiths of Ponte Vecchio to give them the possibility to show off their products made with great work and extreme dedication.
Italy is based on handicraft. Dolce and Gabbana have managed to give value to all these Florentine talents.
“It’s not a fashion event” said Alfonso Dolce. “It’s a set of history and desire to start again and leave behind a difficult moment for the whole world”. This is precisely why it is an event of extreme value for the Florentine realities both artisanal and not.
In fact the realization of “Renaissance and rebirth” involved more than 500 companies. This represent a great financial contribution during an extremely difficult moment for the economy of Florence.

The event in Florence represents the first live fashion show since the beginning of the Coronavirus emergency. For this reason many fashion events skipped, for example the June edition of Pitti Uomo, the various fashion shows in Milan and around the world.
This event represents a real starting point thanks to which fashion shows all over the world can resume its course.
